Study Visa Process

Step 1: Exploring Your Options

First, the student needs to figure out where they want to go and what they would like to study. There are many factors to consider, such as tuition fees, living expenses, employment opportunities, etc.

Stage 2: Plan for the English Language Test

Plan for the English Language Proficiency test such as IELTS/CELPIP and so on depending on the necessities of the college or school you wish to attend. Register for these tests ahead of time, as colleges and universities take time to process the admissions.

Step 3: Funds to Cover Study Cost

You should arrange enough money to cover the first year of study costs and living expenses for the first year (around CAD 10,000). This will be converted to a GIC at the time of visa application.

Step4: Select the DLI

The next step is choosing a particular college or university and courses per your interest and preference.

Stage 5: Apply for Study Permit

Once you have selected the course and the college, you will apply to that particular course.

Step 6: Confirmation Letter

When offer letters are received from the colleges, you have applied to, pick the college you want to learn at. The next step will be to pay the tuition fee and gather all the documents for the visa process.

Step 7: Get Student Visa

You can apply for your study visa when you complete all the documents.
